MetQ was founded in 1979 to address some of the needs in the mineral processing industry.
A requirement for good quality, cost effective spirals existed in the market. MetQ (then called MetQuip) developed and built its own polyurethane spraying equipment to spray solventless polyurethane as a wear resistant coating. With this spraying system, spirals could be manufactured to rival the best international offerings and brought on an enormous cost saving for the mining industry.
From these small beginnings, MetQ expanded its spiral range to include custom-designed units to ensure maximum efficiency in gravity separation circuits used in the recovery of numerous minerals. Other products like hydrocyclones, hydrosizers and screening media were also developed and added to the range. Products are continuously improved and developed to ensure an ever-expanding range of solutions.
MetQ has become one of the market leaders in processes relying on particle sizing and gravity concentration of various minerals.
Our products are produced in-house and are therefore proudly South African. Continuous development and improvement of products ensure that we deliver the best solutions to our customers.
Our offices, production facilities and R&D plant are based in Rosslyn, Pretoria. We hold most of our products and components in stock to give our customers peace of mind that their operations will continue running under challenging circumstances. Our Field Service team is available to assist with on-site support where needed.
